Garlic Hummus

I don’t know about you, but I am a garlic fiend! I think I add at least one heaping spoonful of minced garlic to just about every recipe we make. Garlic is part of our holy trinity. And I’m not talking about the onion, celery, and carrot kind. I’m talking about the 3 items our household must have on hand at all times, or we cannot function kind:

1. minced garlic

2. dill pickles

3. tequila

In this house, nothing else matters.

Okay, that might be a slight exaggeration. Maybe. You probably wouldn’t want to be around to find out.

So, one of the best ways to eat this glorious garlic? In hummus – because hummus goes on anything, so there’s even more excuse to eat garlic on everything! And this hummus is so addicting.

Did I mention it’s also the easiest recipe ever?


Garlic Hummus

1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
2T tahini paste
1T lemon juice
2T olive oil
1t cumin
1/2t coriander
1/2t salt
1/2t paprika
3T minced garlic + more to taste

1. Place rinsed beans into a food processor and pulse until chopped.

2. Add in the rest of the ingredients, processing and scraping down sides of food processor until you have a creamy texture.

3. Add more garlic and seasoning to taste. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.









This is a great basic hummus recipe – reduce the garlic to about 1T for a more traditional hummus, or instead of chickpeas try it with pinto or black beans.
