New study on benefits of organic produce

Maybe it’s because I used to work for an organic farm, or maybe it’s because I’m a bit of a wild child hippie, but I am SO SO excited to hear about this new study proving that organic produce contains higher antioxidant levels and lower pesticide levels than conventionally grown produce.

This is the first study to ever conclusively prove that organic food is better for you!

In case you wanted to read more, here is the article on the study from  and a link to the study abstract if you’d like to read more about the findings.

One of their conclusions: “…the frequency of occurrence of pesticide residues was found to be four times higher in conventional crops…”

This is just the first step in proving that organically grown crops are actually better for us, but we’re on the right track!

P.S. Conventional isn’t all evil! Check out this list from the EWG of the dirty dozen and clean 15 to find out what to buy organic, and what’s okay conventionally grown.
